The people in charge of Project 2025 were former Trump cronies. Until August 2024, its director was Paul Dans. He served in the Trump administration as chief of staff at the US Office of Personnel Management. He also served as the Office of Personnel Management White House liaison and worked with the White House office of Presidential Personnel to staff the approximately 4000 presidential appointees across the federal government during Trump’s first term. Dans is considered a Trump loyalist and worked closely with John McEntee to remove longtime public servants from government who did not demonstrate sufficient loyalty to Trump during his first term.
In the run up to the election, Project 2025 was heavily involved in vetting potential future political appointees. Part of the plan is to reschedule more than 10,000 government employees as Schedule F appointees allowing them to be summarily removed from employment by executive fiat. Do I need to go on? Trump’s fingerprints are all over Project 2025. I don’t care how reasonable you think your friends and neighbors are. What they have unleashed is a potential dystopian hell when the Heritage Foundation, Trump, NAR and the Christian Nationalist Movement implement their desired oppressive policies to impose OT conservative Christian morality and religious beliefs on government policy. You haven’t seen anything yet. By the way, I am a registered Republican, vote purple, care about fiscal responsibility but also the needs of minorities, the needy and the disenfranchised (you know, those pesky things that Jesus did which conservative Evangelicals hate so much), and a practicing Christian with three children and four adopted children… And a trans woman. Try to pigeonholed me as being intolerant. I only believe in facts. And the facts I have uncovered, don’t care about your opinions and your attempt to whitewash the attitudes and beliefs of those around you.
