I agree. It is sad that you got bad care. That is not the norm. It doesn’t change the fact that detransitioning is very rare. When I was still male physically, I was prescribed finasteride for BPH. My old school urologist, insisted it was safe. It was not. In point of fact, endocrinologists in Europe have known this for decades. It should never have been given to me. It destroyed my sexual function, put 50 pounds on me and gave me a fib among the 20 different symptoms that it caused. Sometimes we are the unfortunate victims of bad care. In your case it was transition related care. In my case it was being given a dangerous drug that I was assured was safe and was not and still continues to give me problems. The fact that bad decisions are made by certain practitioners does not negate the appropriateness or the effectiveness of standards of care for others.
