I am taking it very seriously. I have repeatedly told you that. When I said that trans care has been going on for 123 years, I am going back to the early days. It is only over the last fifty years that the amount and quality of care has accelerated. I feel sorry for the very few who may have gotten bad care. There was a time when we thought a good treatment for mental health problems was lobotomies. There was a time when surgeons did surgery on intersex babies and often got it wrong. Today we know to let the child develop and see what his or her preferences are rather than proceeding precipitously.

Medicine is continually advancing. Things are so much better than they were even 20 years ago. We can’t even imagine how much better it will be in 20 years. You and people like you are being recognized and new modalities are being developed to improve your lives. Your problems do not reflect the needs of a much larger group who are getting excellent and proven care. Stop interfering with our needs. It is hard enough getting the care we need without another misguided voice spewing lies.
