I applaud her courage. But this is not unprecedented. Remember the scene out of the Crying Game where Dil disrobed in front of Fergus and he was horrified by what he saw? It was done very tastefully and brought the conflict within Fergus to the fore of being attracted and repulsed at the same time. He was forced to confront his inner confusion and demons. I don’t remember there being an uproar about that at the time. Maybe because we were still mostly in the closet?
