I may be a starry eyed optimist, but the green sprouts you metaphorically see sprouting, are, I believe, a real trend. The voting populace is getting younger and is more progressive. The country is becoming more diverse. The tide of change is inevitable, and that cannot happen too soon.

The current wave of bigoted hate legislation appearing in so many red states strikes me as the dying gasp of a terrified white paternalistic theocratic minority, desperately trying to hold onto power. I think it is doomed to failure. At least I certainly hope so.
