I suspect you are correct. That was my initial thought as well. Audrey (Aiden) was obviously a very troubled soul. It also appears that he/she presented as female at work, but occasionally used a male name in parentheses in her email communications in addition to her given name.

I read an article today that there was a former pastor at the Presbyterian Church associated with the school who was involved in a sexual abuse scandal, and was forced to resign. There is no indication that one of his victims was Audrey, but it does raise questions. The church associated with the covenant school obviously had many of the same problems we see so often in other churches that are conservative and relatively intolerant. There is a lot more going on here than we know at the moment. I suspect in time it will all come out.
