I understand that. You and others have taught me so much about the Russian psyche over recent months, that I think I have come to understand them fairly well. Your point is well taken, they respect only power and force. But don’t you think someone would be intelligent enough to realize that they are trying to win a war? How do you do that by expending expensive munitions against targets of no military significance?

I realize that Putin and the other members of his leadership still believe that they can break the will of the Ukrainian population. Accepting this as a fact, when you are running short on munitions, wouldn’t you think someone would be pragmatic enough to say that maybe we have better uses for our armament on the battlefield?
