I very much appreciate the trauma you went through and why you utterly reject any contact with the distorted version of religion that’s been imposed upon you. I guess I wrote back to just agree with your point of view that you will love people even though the Christians may not. That resonated with me. The ministries I did for 30 years were all about loving people who most people hated. And that was driven by my understanding of Christianity. In spite of all the harm it has done over the centuries as an organized power structure, the core message is pure. That is something I embrace, and I think most people would as well. You certainly do. I’m not sure I would’ve been as caring a person without learning and understanding what motivated Jesus. That is what made me as altruistic as I turned out to be.
