If the attempt was to demoralize the Ukrainian population, it has backfired. If anything, they have a stronger resolve to repel the Russian invaders. The amount of hatred that has been generated towards Russian brutality will take generations to burn itself out. Russia’s war has created steely resolve in the Ukrainian population, not demoralized them. We have seen this before in other conflicts such as the Vietnam war.

As to the availability of war material to maintain the effort on both sides, Ukraine has the backing of the entire western bloc whose combined resources and manufacturing capability dwarf anything Russia can muster. The longer the war goes on, the more the Russian war machine will be depleted while Ukraine remains adequately supplied. This does not even take into account the sorry state of Russian military equipment, which has languished in disrepair or been stripped for parts for sale for decades due to the endemic corruption of the Soviet system. I think you have your analysis exactly backwards.
