It is a beautiful story. I hope it is true also, but I need to read the other two before making up my mind. It reminds me of a good friend I had many years ago who was a sel trained metallurgist. He could cobble together almost anything out of anything in his backyard. We used to make functional quarter scale brass artillery cannons. They could shoot a cannonball about 1 to 2 miles. He was a hoot. He also was an accomplished sailor, having sailed around the world with his grandfather when he was 12. Definitely an interesting guy. Reminds me a lot of your Mr. Hobart.
