Jessee is to be applauded and emulated loudly. She represents a voice of reason that is so often lacking among religious fundamentalists who are all about stoking fear and hatred of people not like them. They conjure up problems where none exist. As Jesse noted, the only time she was exposed to sexual predation was within a church, not among her LGBTQ neighbors.

Having been educated in the parochial school system which has religion as part of its curriculum, I witnessed firsthand the abuse inflicted by religious “straight” adults on children. Many of these were male on male predation. The hypocrisy of these self-righteous bigots is absolutely astounding
