KP I don’t know if there is a link in what you’re saying about food cravings. I was never a female struggling with weight issues, so it is hard to address what you went through. As a young male, however, my metabolism was always high and I did not think about what I would eat. Whatever was there was fine. If it was a piece of chicken or a chocolate bar, I didn’t give it a second thought, and it did not affect my weight. I just ate when I felt like it and I ate what I wanted to. Testosterone does wonders for controlling your weight. Last year, before I started HRT, my testosterone was ridiculously low for a male-about 100. It should’ve been in the 300 to 700 range. I was having weight problems for reasons that I did not understand since I was on a low calorie diet (1500/day) and an intense aerobic regimen (2 hours in the gym: 1 hour on an exercise bike riding 15 miles over 6 mountains and 1 hour of lifting weights). I started taking 100 mg of testosterone a week IM, stopped going to the gym because of Covid and 30 pounds magically disappeared in a month. I had more energy and endurance. Testosterone is a powerful drug.
