My comments about your bias have nothing to do with the relevance and connection between Isaiah and Jesus‘s ministry. The problem is that you use this authority to justify a position which you assume to be true, but which has no basis in reality, or for that matter the love and humility of Jesus himself. You talk about me turning truth on its head. You are the one turning truth on its head. You talk about God’s standard of chastity. What exactly is that? You make certain assumptions without evidence. You talk about purity without evidence. And so on. You talk about self-control in the face of temptation without understanding what is appropriate or not. You make assumptions that the hetero normative view of the world is in fact the correct, only and godly one. Science would beg to differ with your point of view. The world is not binary when it comes to sex and gender. All species exist on a spectrum of variability. Humans are not exempt from this and there is nothing sinful or deranged about such humans. They are normal variations of the human species. If God created everything, he created them this way. It is not up to you to judge his creation.

More fundamentally you ignore the core of Jesus’ teaching. How about John 13:34–35? “A new command I give you: love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this, everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” This is the authentic message of the gospels, not condemnation and judgment, which you are so fond of as are most others who are enamored of the strict unthinking legalism of the Old Testament. Try understanding the nature of Jesus and maybe, just maybe, you might get a glimpse of the mind of God. You are utterly oblivious to it at the moment in your narrow minded simplistic view of reality. Try taking a step back and gaining some perspective. A good place to start would be to actually spend some time in the presence of a group of LGBTQ people and observing. What you will find is that they are some of the friendliest, most loving and generous people you have ever met. Contrast this with the highly critical, smugly superior, self-righteous group that hangs around most churches on Sunday mornings. It should be obvious which group God approves of the most. Hint, it is not in the church building.
