There is a reason that the plastic surgery business is a multibillion dollar endeavor. We are all looking to become prettier or more charming or thinner, etc. Each of us has our own obsession. But this does not equate to a need to conform one’s body or presentation with an internal sense of gender which does not correspond with one’s external sex characteristics. That is the nature of dysphoria, but is not dysmorphia. The two are often confused, but are quite different.
