So sad, so true, but the two who escaped were the ones who were released to a full life in Christ. I celebrate their freedom.

“Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly. … I have other sheep that are not of this sheep pen. I must bring them also. They too will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock and one shepherd. John 7:10, 16.

It seems to me that the sheep going in and out of the pen are the ones who are living the full life and Jesus is always there to protect them. So sad for those who are being closely guarded by a mere hired hand.
