The one place that you are completely wrong, and what creates all the problems with religion these days is believing the Bible is the inerent word of God. There is not only no evidence for it, there is abundant evidence that this is a fiction. To call contemporary men ignorant in the same way that ancient people were is a false equivalency. You are free to hold whatever belief you want. What you’re not free to do is to push back against those who disagree with you and support those who create hateful policies to control and demonize others. That is not acceptable, and it’s not a matter of opinion or reasonable debate. It is evil and contrary to the nature of God. Until fundamentalists realize that the book they revere is not as sacrosanct as they think it is, there will be problems with the overly religious. You need to give up your blind faith and be thoughtful and do the research to understand the limits of the sacred texts.
