The support may be profit motivated, but let’s be honest about this. In the modern day world, political movements gain traction because of deep and significant financial support. I will take the support from anywhere I can get it, even if the motivation is less than pure. If enough money is poured into advertising promoting LGBTQ people, eventually attitudes will change as we become more visible among the general public.
