This is not actually true. Ron DeSantis is just like Trump except smarter and more capable of actually passing his hateful legislation. He is far more dangerous because he could in fact become a fascist president. Just look at his response to the latest hurricane. He refused a call from the vice president and took Florida resources and sent them to North Carolina to show solidarity with an Important swing state. He is conniving, calculating and cruel. If he were to become the new face of the Republican Party, it would die that much faster. We need to get away from politicians creating division, who are motivated by hate and bigotry and back to governing on the issues that affect everyone. People like De Santis, Marjorie Taylor, Green, Matt Gaetz and the rest are not the answer. They are the problem, but admittedly would not exist without Trump opening the door to the legitimacy of hate as a political weapon.
