You are absolutely correct. He does. However, that extreme result is so remote that it is unlikely to happen. Even those who voted for him and support some of his policies, are not as extreme as he. If they go along with it, the whole Republican Party is more evil and out of touch than anyone could’ve possibly imagined. If it does, we are now officially about to become Weimar Germany and are living in the 1930s.
In 1992 James Carville famously said, “it’s the economy, stupid.“ to explain Bill Clinton’s unseating of a sitting Republican, George HW Bush. The American electorate is most concerned about their pocketbook. They blame inflation and illegal immigration on Joe Biden. They don’t understand that the roots of it were put into place by Trump‘s disastrous policies. Once they see that there is no problem economically and that Trump will create one and that immigration underpins service jobs in the US, the vast majority of right wing voters will swing back towards support of the Democrats policies. The MAGA faithful may remain loyal, but they are a vocal bigoted minority without any real national influence, just shrill voices that everyone hears.
