You mean that very fallible group of books written by an ancient people trying their best to understand the world and God‘s presence in it. Those books, full of ignorance and bias and inaccuracies. The Bible is a wonderful book which can be inspiring and life-changing when read as a whole. For those fundamentalists like you who hang on every word as if God dictated them, you have no clue. You don’t even understand that the meaning has been changed so many times through the various translations over the centuries, much of it does not represent the original text. It does not mean what you think it does. Immerse yourself in the ancient cultures and their writing style and maybe you will begin to understand its true message. It’s people like you who are a threat to the freedom we have in society and the primary reason that more and more people are turning their back on a cult of bigotry and judgmentalism. Christian fundamentalist Evangelical Nationalists are the true threat to modern democracy. They are as dangerous as the radicalized groups of any other religion such as Islamic fundamentalists. There is very little to differentiate you from them. You think you have all the answers, but in actuality have created a god built in your own image embodying your own intolerance. True Christianity can be summed in three words. Love. No Buts… It’s really that hard and that simple. Try getting that right first.
