Your observations are spot on. What you are experiencing is real. Like you I never had a strong need to present socially in female dress. I had more of the attitude of wearing what I thought was becoming and trying not to make the people around me too uncomfortable. My preoccupation was more with the female parts that I needed for my own sense of authenticity. We come in all sizes, types and flavors. There is no single definition of how far you should go to be authentically trans. Just do you. In the end it is your happiness and sense of congruence which is important.
